Thanks Consumer Reports. It has a handy 'lift' handle, plenty wide enough for bagels, doesn't take up tons of counter space, and has a great defrost feature. It is highly *reproducible* in its toasting so you can actually predict how your toast will come out (the way you like it). It does not burn when toasting on the 3rd time in a row like many toasters. I've owned this toaster for more than a year and it has restored my faith in toasters.
Very stylish and attractive. Purchased this toaster 3 years ago and it has worked great. Also purchased additional toaster for a Christmas gift and the receiver has enjoyed as well.
Does great with bread, bagels, and English muffins. Nice wide slots, and easy to "pre-pop" whatever is being toasted. vendor problem, not a product problem. I saw this toaster over a year ago, and finally broke down and purchased one. Love the design and ease of use. Only problem is, I was shipped a used one, which I had to settle for.
It toasts bread, etc. Finally, I've found the perfect toaster. evenly, and the lever to raise the toast is one of the best inventions for toasters in a long time - no more sticking something in the toaster to retrieve toast.
I always feel that I need to flip the toast around when it pops up so that the other side gets toasted more. I had expected a higher quality toaster than this from Krups. I was dissappointed in the toaster because I like everything about it except for the main thing; it doesn't toast evenly. It's very light weight as well and tips a little when you pull the lever down.
